Activation Guidelines
To get started:
First, review the New York City guidelines for plaza events.
When ready, submit your Plaza Activation application through the Mayor’s Office “e-apply” platform.
Please note, the application deadline is 30 days prior to the activation for one plaza block and 45 days prior to the event for multiple plaza blocks.
For Flatiron Plaza activations, we require the following items:
- Site Plan
- Run of Show
- Site Visit
- Minimum $1M certificate of liability insurance (COI)
- For commercial marketing events, full payment of the plaza activation fee
